Where new and aspiring leaders come together for coaching, community and development.
“At Lead Next, we want you to flourish as a leader, both in the work you do, and how you feel. Imagine leading confidently, effectively, and happily; developing yourself and your team, while staying true to your values. We believe the key to this is self-awareness. To support this, we run highly effective group coaching programmes and activities. We have created a number of self-led coaching worksheets. And we host free community project and events. All designed to support you in raising your own self-awareness and becoming the leader you want to be.”

Coaching for all - Self-coaching Worksheets
Our mission at Lead Next is to enable everyone to access coaching. As part of this, we have created a number of self-led coaching worksheets. Each worksheet costs about the same as a cup of coffee!
These worksheets provide the guidance and support for you to self-coach yourself through activities that will boost your self-confidence and self-awareness, empower you to take the next steps in your career journey, and identify the gaps and actions you need to take to move forwards.
You can mix and match worksheets to make the experience unique to you, building your own self-development portfolio.

"MyFuturePlan" - A Leadership Accelerator for Early-Career Researchers

Aims of the MFP Programme
ECRs face enormous challenges in securing contracts, meeting demands and planning out their careers. The MFP programme addresses those challenges by supporting ECRs in developing themselves into the leaders of the future through a group coaching approach that provides:
Increased self-awareness of personal behaviour preferences
Increased collaborative capacity – teams and leadership
An understanding of resilience and emotional intelligence – and how to build and develop them
Building connections
Developing an individual action plan for future progression
We work with you to write the programme into your grant applications making the application more attractive to funders, whilst showing your dedication to supporting your ECRs.
Who can attend
The programme is designed for ECRs and leaders in academia and industry e.g. post-docs, industrial researchers, early-career academics, late-stage/mature PhD students, early-career leaders etc.
Set up by Dr Tony Bradshaw, Managing Director of Biosocius Ltd., it was originally aimed at ECRs in the Biotechnology Sector and is now available across other areas in STEM.
So far, MFP has been delivered to 400+ ECRs over 5 years across UK & Ireland.
MFP Workshops
MFP takes place over two dedicated workshops.
An online, small group, 90 minute workshop where participants are provided with individual personality profile assessments. Participants build a picture of themselves and their natural preferences for communication, working style and more.
An in-person half-day of group coaching discussing personality preferences in teams and leadership, collaborative ability building, emotional intelligence and resilience in the workplace, and the development of their "My Future Plan" set of actions.
Workshops are facilitated by qualified coaches with a background in STEM.
